I caught trout in 27 new creeks in NC (8 different counties) in 2025 to raise my total to 1113! Only two of them (those in bold print) came off my bucket list.

Coaching soccer in the spring and fall contributed to fewer days searching for new creeks, along with teaching an AP class for the first time in my 40 year teaching career. I really enjoy teaching the AP Government and Politics class, but it does demand a lot of my time. I am dropping the girls soccer season in the spring so I can spend more time in the creeks. I just turned 64, so I want to get busy on that bucket list while I still have a decent level of balance, and the fitness required for some of those long hikes!

New Year's Fishing Resolutions:

  1. Fish more

  2. Cut the bucket list in half

  3. Post at least once a month
