I fished North Shoal Creek in Cherokee County during spring break. I did not catch any trout, but a seven-inch creek chub (horny-head, knotty-head) hit my bead head hare's ear nymph and fought like a brown trout. The waterfall is just upstream from where the creek runs in to Appalachia Lake. On the way out, I got this video of some otters playing around in the lake.
