Tiger Trout!

Brent Turner, a former student of mine, caught this tiger trout in Little East Fork Pigeon River last week. They are a hybrid, sterile cross between a brook trout and a brown trout, and can turn up anywhere that brookies and browns coexist. I have only caught two, and both were from the same pool on Silver Run Creek, about five years apart.
