Wolf Laurel Branch is a tributary of Sand Creek, which is a tributary of Santeetlah Creek. I once tried to fish up Sand Creek until I reached Wolf Laurel, but I got to a waterfall I couldn't go around and didn't want to climb. This time, I just drove the forest road to the crossing. The watershed forms a bowl-shaped plateau at 4,400 feet called Wolf Laurel Basin. Like most Santeetlah tributaries that high up, Wolf Laurel has specs.
