Jason Jefferies and I hiked in above the old Hendersonville Watershed at the head of North Mills River to get one of my bucket list creeks. Jason has become my go-to guy for those back-country trips that I'm too old to do by myself anymore.

I caught trout in 27 new creeks in NC (8 different counties) in 2025 to raise my total to 1113 NC creeks!

I caught trout in five new creeks (one from my bucket list) and I got a chance to fish with four of my favorite fishing buddies. In addition, I made several short trips to home water and an old favorite and caught lots of wild trout.
